Eddie Holly has now revoked all previous permissions
to use his work freely. We talked to Eddie, and he didn't
really understand the PSP stuff (most artists don't at first).
Someone is circulating a letter saying it's still ok to use his work.
It's NOT. If you do not purchase his work at MPT, you CANNOT use
it anymore.
Eddie will fix this on his side.
We were able to release Eddie's work pretty quickly, cause he sent
us images already tubed.
We did not know that Eddie had given permissions in the past when he
came to us last week, or we would have asked him to pull perms he
had given then.
So all the drama people out there, you know the drill. Once an artist
goes PTU, permissions are revoked unless they leave any
free to use and then we will state that.
Please pass the information in groups.

IF the artist didn't understand the PSP stuff, how would he know to seek out a psp licensing company to represent him? WHY didn't the company educate the artist on what it means to be licensed? WHY didn't the company ask the artist questions about granting permissions? WHY didn't the company inform the artist you can't still grant permissions AFTER you license with them? HOW would an artist, who doesn't know about PSP, know to supply them with tubes? WHY does the artist claim he was approached by someone when the company claims the artist approached them? WHY are they putting all the blame on the artist when it should be their responsibility as a licensing company to TRUTHFULLY educate their artists? WHEN will this company STOP lying to everyone?
We are aware an artist has the right to go PTU, but don't bullshit us about it. There is a HUGE difference between artists approaching companies on their own and companies hunting artists down. MPT needs to concern themselves with QUALITY rather than QUANTITY. They might have a lot of artists, but that doesn't make up for their rotten customer service and unethical business practices! The only new standards they are setting are low standards.

I have permission from Eddie that I have had and I will CONTINUE to use until I get a letter from him PERSONALLY asking me not to use it any longer.
You are nothing more then hustlers and con artists, lying to your customers and your artists.

That would be the ethical way to conduct business....to fully inform the artist about licensing. MPT is taking advantage of artist that do not know the in's and outs of the PSP community. Get them to sign a contract quickly before they know what hit them.
Of course, what can we expect from an unethically operated business?

He had no clue as to what PSP really was but yet he sent them tubes of his images? Now tat really makes no sense at all to me.. If he had no clue as to what psp is then how does he know what a tube is?
Just a thought...
How about we all chip in and pay to give ALL the "employees" of MPT a lie-detector test???
What I read in the statement is that they are already calling their new artist a liar. What a way to welcome a new client to the company! I wonder what he would think about this?
although I do not use MPT myself, I fail to see how them approaching an artist is making you all so mad. Yes, I know he was originally granting permissions etc and I totally understand the annoyance at suddenly going over to being licensed....but my point is this...
CILM, AMI and UYA will ALL approach artists....its a business they are running after all. No business will survive if they just sit back and hope things to come their way.
I fail to see how MPT are any worse than any other licensing company when it comes to approaching an artist.
I totally agree however, that if he is not fully up on the PSP side of things then he should have been better educated, but surely that is partly his fault as well as MPTS??

I think you're missing the point. Many people have issue with how they go about their business. How about the general managers of MPT passing around commissioned tubes of an artist in the hope of the artist pulling permissions and signing with MPT? Would you have a problem with that? Or would you think that is just part of business?
No i totally agree that passing around commissioned work etc is wrong, naturally I do. I am not FOR MPT at all....Im just trying to get a more informed view, thats all. I dont know why you would ask such a silly question as would I say its acceptable business practise to pass the commissed tubes around.....that wasnt necessary or relevant....and not what Im asking.
My question has only been....how exactly, if we are not using MPT do they still affect our lives as greatly as many people feel?? Personally I just get on using my CILM tubes like I always have....not using MPT....doesnt affect my life in the slightest. Im just intrigued as to how others feel it does....Im not criticising, just curious!

Frankly...if you'd follow MPT's TOU's you more than likely would have never had a confrontation with them. It's their stuff to sell, they can sell it the way they want. Me personally, I appreciate MPT just as I do CILM UYA and AMI. I would also do whatever I could to help MPT thru all the drama you morons are stirring up. I think all this bullarky is about some disgruntled employee at CILM figuring MPT is doing better business than they are. Business is business. Learn that and live well.
You guys need to open your eyes! CILM is the company with two hot heads running it! I can count at least 5 times in a year they have publicly lost their temper, told people to f*ck off in groups, called new customers no bodies because they hadn't purchased from them yet, and then posted an "I'm sorry" email and everyone forgave them?
I remember them publicly releasing a ladies home address and phone number in their forum and their members told to harass them, I remember when they signed another company up to their newsletter themselves, and then tore the owner apart in their forum for sending them an email asking to be removed since that's spamming them, I also have read several emails that Anthony Guerra sent Brandt saying he'd be better off dead!
