Eddie Holly has now revoked all previous permissions

to use his work freely. We talked to Eddie, and he didn't

really understand the PSP stuff (most artists don't at first).

 

Someone is circulating a letter saying it's still ok to use his work.

It's NOT. If you do not purchase his work at MPT, you CANNOT use

it anymore.

 

Eddie will fix this on his side.

 

We were able to release Eddie's work pretty quickly, cause he sent

us images already tubed.

 

We did not know that Eddie had given permissions in the past when he

came to us last week, or we would have asked him to pull perms he

had given then.

 

So all the drama people out there, you know the drill. Once an artist

goes PTU, permissions are revoked unless they leave any

free to use and then we will state that.

IF the artist didn't understand the PSP stuff, how would he know to seek out a psp licensing company to represent him? WHY didn't the company educate the artist on what it means to be licensed? WHY didn't the company ask the artist questions about granting permissions? WHY didn't the company inform the artist you can't still grant permissions AFTER you license with them? HOW would an artist, who doesn't know about PSP, know to supply them with tubes? WHY does the artist claim he was approached by someone when the company claims the artist approached them? WHY are they putting all the blame on the artist when it should be their responsibility as a licensing company to TRUTHFULLY educate their artists? WHEN will this company STOP lying to everyone?

 

We are aware an artist has the right to go PTU, but don't bullshit us about it. There is a HUGE difference between artists approaching companies on their own and companies hunting artists down. MPT needs to concern themselves with QUALITY rather than QUANTITY. They might have a lot of artists, but that doesn't make up for their rotten customer service and unethical business practices! The only new standards they are setting are low standards.

Eddie Holly grants special permission to use his work!!

Eddie Holly has granted special permission to use his work WITHOUT a purchased license to a certain PSP group who requested it. Mr. Holly granted his original permission just two short weeks ago and the group's manager politely wrote to Mr. Holly requesting special permission to continue to use his work without a purchase licensed. This special permission was granted by Mr. Holly via email yesterday AFTER his tubes were released with MPT. This leads us to believe Mr. Holly might not understand exactly what tube licensing means. It also seems, per Mr. Holly's email, he was approached by MPT to license and not the other way around as MPT is leading customers to believe.

 

"Yeah, unfortunately, we didn't know he used to give permissions out when he signed with us. Since he said he hasn't updated his site in a very long time, he probably forgot about it."  Used to give permissions? The majority of his perms have been given this past month! If MPT did not know this, then it shows how incompetent they are. We would think that would be one of the first things a licensing company would want to know of perspective artists - Do you give or have you given permissions for taggers to use your work? Secondly, if an artist has been inundated with permission requests for almost a entire month, as Mr. Holly surely has by all the groups who were adding him to their perms list, we would think it would be a little difficult for it to just slip his mind he has given permissions. Especially when he supposedly approached a licensing company!

 

 

MPT signs Eddie Holly!!!

This is the kind of stunt that upsets people. Eddie Holly was granting permissions to taggers as recent as last week and now he is suddenly licensed with MPT without even the courtesy of informing groups he was revoking permissions???? Boo to Eddie Holly for his lack of manners and not learning about the company he licensed with before signing on the dotted line and a bigger BOO to MPT for harvesting FTU artists!

This notice will be sent to all new members, and every 2 weeks
thereafter, please watch for changes.


1. No drama, disrespect for other members, artists or the company is not
tolerated in any way. Respect the feelings of others before you
type.

 

As if this rule really matters since they moderate all posts anyway! The true purpose of this rule is for MPT to justify their control tactics and censorship within the group and with their customers, in general. They forgot to mention that MPT management is exempt from this rule (and all others). MPT management can and will initiate drama at any given time. Only members who support the views of MPT will be allowed to have their messages approved by moderators. Frequent use of foul language, hissy fits and "woe is me" pathetic sob stories are common occurrences on behalf of management.

2. No bashing of MPT, or other licensing companies in any way.
Artists have a right to be represented by any company they choose,
respect that wish.

 

No bashing means no questioning, complaining about nor expecting answers to anything related to MPT's incompetence and unethical business practices. They added the other licensing company part in there for good measure, don't you think? What this rule doesn't tell you is that if you are "caught" by one of MPT's many spies to say one negative word about MPT in ANY group, forum, etc. you may be in, you'll immediately be removed from the Yahoo group even if you may never have posted or attempted to have posted in it! Artists have the right to be represented by any company they choose and taggers should not email artists with questions or to enlighten them to the situation with MPT. MPT will call this harassment. BUT they do reserve the right to bribe customers to email and HARASS artists who wish to no longer be associated with the company. Do as I say but not as I do? It seems a common theme with this company.

3. No spamming. If you are collecting email addresses to spam, you
will be removed without warning.

 

In other words, if we find out you're going outside the group to enlighten our customers with facts, we'll ban you and suspend your license, if you have one! If you dare let our artists know there is a boycott going on, we'll hunt you down, attempt to publicly humiliate you, call you a liar and then make up stories to our group members so they'll feel sorry for us and buy more tubes!!

4. It is YOUR responsibility to keep your account up to date. If you
are bouncing, you will have to reset yourself, we do not send notices.

 

This one is meant to read we also do not respond to the complaints, concerns or suggestions of customers nor our artists! We are much too busy destroying everything the PSP community has worked very hard building the last few years to be bothered with whether or not your email is bouncing!

5. This group can generate high volume mail. If you don't want the mail,
read on the web, or get daily digest, or join the newsletter at the web
site [their url here] for just release information.

 

But remember, folks, if you talk bad about us, we'll ban you from our newsletter too and then you're shit out of luck! You'll be forced to come to our site every single day to see if we've changed our TOU yet AGAIN!!!

6. Your age must be in your profile, and you must be 18+ to be a member.

 

But you can be any age at all to sign up for our newsletter and be subjected to adult content! We also have adult content ALL over our site and we don't verify ages, have an adult content disclaimer nor do we have our site family friendly in case someone accidentally surfs on it (which can happen since we have our site geared toward MySpace and other social network comments).

We will remove people without warning for any of the above infractions.

 

Remember!! You don't have to break the rules in OUR group to be removed! We will follow you all over the internet like Big Brother and try to censor your every word! If you don't like it, boycott us! We dare you! If you try, we'll just release more Garv and Elias because we think you're all so sad and pathetic you'll buy, buy, BUY!

MPT has lied about... the Art Avenger blog. They told customers it had nothing to do with the company, but we all saw how quickly that lie was spun!

LY Saga

A certain artist licensed with a certain company stated she no longer wished to be associated with them and wanted to quietly let her contract run out. A professional and well run company would have either A) respected the artist's wishes or B) privately contacted the artist in regards to the artist's concerns about the company. Our favorite company in question did neither. Not really a big surprise there. The "General Manager" of said company made an absolute fool of herself, yet again, by posting a very public response in this certain artist's blog. What ensued what a management nightmare. People for and against said company flocked to the blog to post their thoughts. What makes it even more interesting is that said General Manager openly BRIBED customers with free merchandise to harass the artist by any means necessary.

Someone stop us, but wasn't MPT attempting to PURCHASE tags made by customers so they could use them for MySpace comments?

A little newsflash for Ms. JRM, the BBB comments all sound the same because many customers have the same complaints! The bulk were made when the TOU change went into effect which upset customers greatly. Ms. JRM can put whatever spin on it she would like, but the fact of the matter remains - she's as crooked and as dishonest as they come - and she continues to prove it every time she gets near the keyboard. And the foul language? Unprofessional on so many levels.

Lies, lies, everywhere are lies!

That seems to be the reoccuring theme for this company and their employees.

Look familiar? It should. The artist is licensed with a PTU company. Take a closer look at the sender of said image. Is this not the person who claims to have never shared artist tubes within the past year?

Here is an even better one. Not only did she illegally share this tube, but take a look at the artist. Faux pas?

MPT banning customers from newsletter?

Numerous customers of MPT have told us they have been banned from MPT's newsletter. It seems MPT and their neverending network of spies are joining various PSP groups and then reporting ANYONE who may speak out or question the ethics of MPT's business practices. These customers are then BANNED from the customer newsletter. How does that make sense?
